Pas-Kaart vande Zee Kusten inde Boght van Niew Engeland tusschen de Staaten Hoek en C. de Sable. - Van Keulen Johannes , 1697-1709.
Sea chart of New England, oriented to the North
Cartographer: C. J. Vooght
"This map bears similarities to other van Keulen charts; the sources are not clear. The northern shore of the Gulf is poorly delineated with the Bay of Fundy virtually omitted altogether. The R. S Iuan identifies the site of present-day Saint John, R. de S. Cruz the St Croix River and Passamaquoddy Bay followed immediately to its west by Penobscot Bay. The Kennebek Rivier and Storwich had been noted. The town of Sacko in southern Maine is separated from Dover by a couple of minor settlements. C. Anno leads us into the Boston Bay area with Baston itself and Carls Town. Further south we pass an ever present Pleymouth down to Bastibel on Cape Cod and Natoket." (Burden)
