Map of Bretagne, oriented to the North

This very rare map was made by Pieter Persoy (1675-1695), a publisher and engraver in Amsterdam who compiled fifteen maps for Frederick de Wit around 1680. The ornate cartouche is engraved by the great Romein de Hooghe. The map is dedicated by the authore to Joanni Six, a Dutch poet and literary figure of the day.
